Excellent. Always amazes me that most authors family members don't read their books. In the long run probably a good thing. The Asian backdrop for these stories sounds intriguing. Mt TBR mound just groaned.
Great piece here, Mark. And I’m glad to hear a pro say that Connelly didn’t do the woman very well… always thought those books didn’t sing right. Glad Bosch is back, and yes drop Needham on my pile.

If you listen to me, I’d say Samuel Tay is unlike anything you’ve ever read but yet so familiar. I highly recommend. But yea, my TBR hurts right now.
It will find its way to me. Your recs are always solid.
Very sweet. Thank you
I'm a big fan of Sam Tay, and I LOVED The Big Mango. Terrific interview!
Too kind. Thank you

Embarrassingly, I’ve never heard of Jake Needham before. These books sound great!
If you subscribe to KU, they are all there. He and Douglas Lumsdem really showed me that there are great books on KU.
